Health hub: Healthcare Web App

ABOUT THE PROJECT

Health Hub, our client’s project, is an innovative web-based platform designed to facilitate online medical consultations through live video 
or text chat. This platform is thoughtfully crafted to empower healthcare professionals, providing them with the tools to efficiently oversee 
and manage patients’ medical records.

Notably, Health Hub stands as the sole telehealth provider with a ‘student-first’ approach, offering a holistic care solution tailored to campus health. Their core mission is to enhance the health and well-being of college students by providing accessible virtual medical and mental health care.

As is important for all healthcare projects, Health Hub meets 
all technical safeguards for HIPAA-compliant tools. The solution ensures 
the privacy of each patient by keeping all identifiable health information protected and secure.

Our contribution to this project focused on front-end development, ensuring a seamless user experience that upholds the highest standards of security and privacy.

Solutions

Based on the client’s expectations we proposed a dedicated team of React JS developers for handling the front-end development of the platform. 
The backend part has already been done on the client side according 
to the US healthcare industry standards.

Our team effectively took on board the project structure proposed by the client and built the project following the client’s guidelines and principles. 
At the same time, the developers proposed to use some modern technology for app optimizations for both the user and development sides. MobX state management was used instead of Redux. Also, DateFns instead of MomentJS was implemented to make the booking and scheduling process more convenient, and therefore to smooth and refine one 
of the project’s key features.

Throughout the development, the team created a number of custom UI elements for chat, calendar, etc. Such an approach allows easier customization of these screens that makes an app more attractive 
and contemporary.
